It is used to alleviate the symptoms of acidity and gas. It provides immediate and effective relief from the symptoms of burp and bloating caused by gas. It also alleviates acidity symptoms such as abdominal pain and stomach discomfort. It works by neutralising the body's stomach acid. It's an antacid with magnesium hydroxide among its active components. Magnesium hydroxide dissolves fast in the stomach and acts immediately. It reacts with stomach acid to form magnesium chloride, which, when absorbed by the body, provides immediate relief from acid reflux by neutralising gastric acid. Additionally, the presence of aluminium hydroxide neutralises stomach acid but is known to act slowly. It is also known to decrease the activity of the enzyme pepsin, which aids in the treatment of heartburn.
